Keith Maynard Erickson's Obituary
Keith M. Erickson of St. Helens passed away peacefully on January 15, 2015. He was 72.
He was born in Portland, Oregon to Walter and Mary Lou Erickson. A lifelong resident of St. Helens, he graduated from St. Helens High School and earned his bachelor’s degree from Pacific University.
Keith worked as an accountant and retired as controller from American Steel in Portland after nearly 20 years of service. He was an active member of the Christian Church of St. Helens and a member of the Lions Club. Devoted to his family, he loved watching his grandsons’ sporting events. He was an avid dog lover, enjoyed current events, meeting his friends for coffee, Bible studies, and taking walks.
Keith is survived by his wife, Alena; daughter, Karen Taylor (Tom); brother, Wayne Erickson (Sharla); niece, Staci Erickson; nephew, Jason Erickson (Robin); cousins, Barbara Freeman (Carl) and Al Blodgett; and grandsons, Alec and Luke Taylor.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the Christian Church of St. Helens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the OHSU Knight Cancer Challenge, Christian Church of St. Helens or the St. Helens Lions Club.
