There’s not a day that passes that I don’t think of you and all the amazing times we had and all the amazing things you have me throughout our 20yrs together. I hope your doing ok, and I hope that you see I am doing good. Hey dad, your birthday is coming up and I’m not sure how I’m going to take it when it comes. I miss you so much, there isn’t a day that goes by that I wake up expecting to come out of my room and seeing you there with nibbles. Everything is going good here, at least for the most part, been working a lot which I know you’d be proud of, knowing I am doing my best to make my own life the best I can, I wish you where here to see it all happen, there’s so much I want to tell you and show you, but even though you aren’t here I know your looking down seeing it all happen. I just hope your proud of how my life is going so far and I hope you are doing ok, it’s been super hard without you but I’m getting through it day by day. I love you so much dad, I can’t wait for the day I see you again

Kendall ... Ken ... Kenny. I knew him as Kenny.

I met Kenny when I first started dating his sister Debbi. And let me tell you, I can attest to Kenny's others-focused spirit. He seemed to always be looking for ways to help others.

One year during summer, when temps were blistering in the SoCal high desert, Kenny spent the day outside a supermarket asking people for their receipts. There was a campaign going on such that for so many dollars in receipts, you could get a place setting of stoneware dishes. Kenny collected enough receipts to get his mom several place settings. It wasn't Christmas. It wasn't her birthday. It was just something that he thought would be a nice thing to do.

Some years later, Ken moved to Oregon. I didn't get to know him as Ken or as Kendall, but what I knew of him when I knew him is how I can't help but remember him.

I met Kendall many years ago, when Jon was the little man shown in the picture connected with the announcement of Kendall's passing. Kendall was so proud of him then, and in scrolling down and seeing Jon's graduation picture, I know that Kendall's pride in his son only continued to grow over the years. Kendall was a great father, a hard worker, and an inspiring person. I am saddened to see that he is no longer with us in this world, but know he is in a much better place now. May memories of him continue to inspire Jon and all others who knew and loved Kendall. Rest in peace, Kendall. I am honored to have known you. Diana M. Shera Taylor

I will always think of of Kenny and my brother, Chris growing up together. We called them Starkey and Hutch as Kenny had dark hair and Chris was the blonde. I remember the Mojave river was very flooded. All of a sudden, they showed up at my mother’s place in Victorville shivery and dripping wet. They had floated down the river in tubes. They did not always make the best decisions, but they always landed on their feet. Life took them on different paths when they grew up. Now both are with our Heavenly Father, together again.
