Kevin Ward Brockwell's Obituary
Kevin was born at Lajes Field Air Force Base in The Azores, and was the only son of Fred Richard Brockwell and Carolyn Jane Simmers.
He is survived by his son - Tyler Ward Brockwell, his older sister - Blaire Brockwell Cooper, his mother - Carolyn Simmers Brockwell Gara, his nephews - Kyle Cooper & Preston Cooper, and his cousin - John Brockwell.
Kevin spent his youth in San Antonio and Del Rio, Texas. He attended Del Rio High School and was part of the Class of 1983. He was known as a likeable, friendly, funny, and handsome guy. He was also a great baseball player, and was given the name "Boomer Brockwell" by Carl Guys of the Del Rio New Herald circa 1978.
Kevin lived most of his adult life in San Antonio, Texas, where he met Jennifer Harris. Together, they had their son, Tyler. Tyler meant the absolute world to Kevin, and he loved him dearly!
In December of 2020, Kevin moved to Scappoose, Oregon, to help care for his ailing father.
Kevin passed away peacefully on April 6, 2023, and he will be greatly missed. His Graveside Service will be held in Del Rio at Westlawn Cemetery in the late summer/early fall of 2023. Date and time to be determined.
