Kieth E. Goodwin's Obituary
Kieth E. Goodwin was born on October 4, 1940 in Wheeler, WI. to Elmer & Rozella Allen Goodwin.
He died in a Portland hospital on September 20, 2005 at the age of 64 after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage on Monday, September 12, 2005.
In 1941 the family relocated to Prescott, Oregon. They moved to St. Helens in 1945 and Kieth began school at John Gumm School. He graduated from St. Helens High School in 1958.
After a short stint with Boise Cascade paper mill he joined the US Army. While in Germany he met and married his first wife Regina Muller. In 1961 Kieth, Regina and her two sons James & Pete moved to St. Helens and Kieth returned to the paper mill. After 15 years, he left Boise Cascade to embark on a second career as a carpenter. Some time later he accepted a position as foreman of a maintenance crew at the Trojan Nuclear Plant. When it closed, he continued to work for Portland General Electric until his retirement in 2002.
Shortly after his retirement his wife Regina passed away. He married Anita Keltz of St. Helens on August 28, 2004.
He was a member of the St. Helens Elks Lodge, St. Helens Kiwanis Club, and the Royal Order the Moose. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, music, reading and dancing.
He will be remembered by his family & friends for his warm, loving, helpful and giving nature.
Survivors include: Wife: Anita Goodwin of Warren, OR.; Stepsons: James Muller and Pete & Debi Muller all of St. Helens, Travis Cobb of Davenport, WA.; Step-daughter: Courtney & Jose Cintron of St. Helens; Siblings: William & Donna Goodwin; Laura & Joseph Flynn; Allan Goodwin all of St. Helens, OR.; Ralph & Toni Goodwin of Baker City, OR.; 2 grandchildren: Reese Cintron, Jeannie & Jeremy Boyd.; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces & nephews.
Funeral service: Saturday, September 24, 2005 at 10:00 AM at United Methodist Church-St. Helens
Committal service & vault interment: Bethany Memorial Cemetery-Warren, OR.
