Kirk M. Allen
February 23, 1973 ~ September 20, 2017
Kirk Allen was born in Jackson, Michigan, to Marilyn Allen and the late John Allen. The family moved to San Diego in 1978.
Kirk graduated from Point Loma College with a degree in English literature and drama. He then moved to Seattle, where he was a mental health counselor.
After 20 years in Seattle, Kirk relocated to St. Helens, Oregon. He was employed at Columbia Wellness in Longview/Kelso as the outreach person to people in need of housing and other services.
He enjoyed singing karaoke and acting with Shoestring Players in last October's Spirit of Halloweentown productions.
Memories of his hearty laugh, and kind spirit will live in the hearts of those who knew him.
Kirk is survived by his mother, Marilyn; his brother, Jeffrey (Mandy); his nephews, Cade and Jayce; his former wife, Renee McLeod; family in California and Michigan; and many friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at Plymouth Presbyterian Church, 2615 Sykes Rd., St. Helens, on Sunday, October 8, at 3 p.m.
