L. LaVonne Palin's Obituary
L. LaVonne Palin was born on March 7, 1932 in Winter, S. Dakota to Herman J. & Edith Fay Foster Petersen.
She died at a Portland hospital on April 7, 2006 at the age of 74.
She moved to S.E. Portland in 1939, attended schools and graduated from Gresham Union Hi School in 1950.
She married Ed in Vancouver, WA. on March 16, 1951. They have lived in Scappoose since 1961.
She was a library aid at Otto Petersen grade school for 26 years, retiring in the early 1990's.
She was raised in the Presbyterian denomination, member of the women of the Moose Lodge and member of the Eagles.
As a youngster she rode horse on her parents farm, sometimes standing on the back of the horse.
Her interests included crossword puzzles, chinese food, her yard and little league baseball.
Survivors include: Husband: Ed Palin; Son: Doug Palin both of Scappoose; Son: Mike Palin of Spray, OR.; Sister: Dixie Dawson of Laguna Hills, CA.; 4 grandchildren.
Viewing & Visitation: 1-5 Monday, 9-12 Tuesday at Columbia Funeral Home.
Graveside service & Vault interment: Columbia Memorial Gardens-Scappoose-Tuesday 4/11/06 at 2:00 PM.
