Larry A. Paulsen, Sr. was born on October 25, 1934 in St. Helens, OR. to Paul & Alma KromreyPaulsen.
He died in a Portland hospital on April 13, 2007 at the age of 72.
He was educated and graduated from Forest Grove Hi School in 1952.
He married Carolyn Hudson on June 29, 1958 in Glenwood, Oregon. She preceded him in death in 1997.
He was in the Air Force from 1959-1961.
They lived in Glenwood, Forest Grove, Gales Creek and to St. Helens in 1962 until present.
He was a supervisor for James River Corporation, retiring in
He was a member of the Moose Lodge, St. Helens School Board, chairman in 1980; Boatman Union, union negociator for the Union of the Pacific inland boatmans, elected patrolman, NW Steelheaders Association.
He enjoyed racing stock cars on the Fairgrounds dirt track, an avid Nascar fan, fishing and hunting.
Survivors include: Daughter & son-in-law: Paula & Grant Gayman of Scappoose; Son & signifigant other: Larry A. Paulsen, Jr. & Lisa Ware of St. Helens; 5 grandchildren 1 great grandchild; preceded in death by parents; brother Jerry in '98.
