Obituary of Laura Mary Williams
Laura Williams passed away on December 5th in Longview, Washington. She was 65 years of age.
Laura was born August 14, 1946 in Medford, Oregon to Clinton Lloyd and Kathryn Mae Lowe Wells, the oldest of 7 children. She attended McLaughlin Middle School and graduated from Medford High School. She went on to college and received a degree in nursing and for the next many years work in medical field. Laura married George Randall "RANDY" Williams on March 23, 1979 in Yreka, California. In 1985 they moved to Days Creek, Oregon where she served as an EMT/Firefighter and Randy was the Volunteer Fire Chief. They served for about four years before moving to Rainier where they have lived for the last 24 years. Laura worked for many organizations as an LPN; Columbia County Sheriff Department, local nursing homes, hospitals and both public and private home health care service.
Laura is survived by her husband of 32 years, Randy, children; Duane Smithers of Belfield, ND, Kathryn Smithers of Oregon, Helen Morehouse of LaPine, Charles Williams of Rainier, 11 grandchildren, mother Kathryn Wells of Medford, siblings; Lloyd Wells of Medford, Nancy Mott of Eagle Point, Gary Wells of Ft. Klamath, Clifford Wells of Eagle Point, Warren Wells of Medford and Mark Wells of Oak Hollow, FL. Pre-deceased by daughter, Andrea Smithers.
