LaVelle M. Hanson's Obituary
LaVelle M. Hanson was born on August 18, 1910 in Hood River, Oregon to Jasper & Mary Hansen Mason.
She died at her home in St. Helens on October 6, 2007 at the age of 97.
She was the first born and the oldest of three girls.
She attended schools in St. Helens and graduated in 1930.
She married Elmer on June 17, 1933. He preceded her in death in 1978.
She worked at Birdseye Canery, retiring in 1975.
She attended Sunset Park Community Church for 36 years and the Church of God for the past 5 years.
Family was very important to her, she enjoyed traveling to see them, preparing holiday meals and going out to dinner with them. She loved to work in the yard and garden and taking family to pick strawberries and beans.
Survivors include: Daughters: Gloria Weed of Enumclaw, WA.; Carol Stose of St. Helens; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
Viewing & Visitation: 9-5 Tuesday at Columbia Funeral Home
Funeral Service: Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at 2:00 PM at The Columbia Christian Center in St. Helens on 15th Street.
Committal service & interment: Columbia Memorial Gardens Cemetery-Scappoose, Oregon.
