LaVerne E. Marshall's Obituary
LaVerne E. Marshall was born on December 31, 1927 in Artesia, CA. to George Luther & Mildred Turner Hudson.
She died at her home in Rainier on December 20, 2011 at the age of 83.
LaVerne was educated in Artesia, Bachelor Flats, and St. Helens High School.
She met and married Eugene Marshall in May of 1947 in St. Helens. They lived in Antioch, CA. from 1956-1971 moving back to Rainier. He preceded her in death in 1978.
LaVerne was a homemaker, foster parent, and a member of The Christian Church of St. Helens. Early on she was a member of the Scappoose Garden Club and she loved gardening and all types of animals.
Survivors include: 4 Children: Rebecca Derby, Vernon Marshall, Melinda Jones, Wade Marshall all of Rainier; Siblings: Jo Ann Billings of Hillsboro; Mike Weatherby of Malibu, CA.; 12 Grandchildren; 12 Great-Grandchildren; Numerous Nieces & Nephews; and Numerous Foster Children.
LaVerne was preceded in death by son Duane Marshall.
Graveside Service & Interment; Yankton Hillcrest Cemetery-St. Helens on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 2:00 PM.
