Lawrence Alan Carey's Obituary
Lawrence Alan Carey was born on March 12, 1954 in Wheatland, Wyoming to Lawrence E. & Alma VanOrtwick Carey.
He died at a Longview Hospital on March 9, 2007 at the age of 52.
He moved to St. Helens in April of 1967, attended schools and graduated from St. Helens Hi School in June of 1972. He enlisted in the Army of that year and made of career of it. He was discharged in Fort Drum, N.Y. in 1994. He attended Big Bend Community College with a degree in Automotive Maintenance.
He married Barbara in Germany on November 12, 1982. He was raised in a Christian non-denominational home. His enjoyments included fishing, hunting, golfing. He learned to surf in Hawaii, he also enjoyed car mechanics as a hobby and Nascar racing.
Survivors include: Wife: Barbara Carey; Children: Hannalora Bristol, Richard Lantzsch, Alexander Lantzsch all of St. Helens; Sisters: Linda Carey of St. Helens & Carol Carey of Beaverton, OR.; 5 grandchildren.
