Lawrence C. Calder's Obituary
Lawrence C. Calder was born on May 1, 1927 in Devlin, Ontario, Canada to Earl & Mina Smith Calder.
He died at a adult foster care home in St. Helens on October 20, 2005 at the age of 78.
After schooling he went into the US Army in 1945 until 1947. He married Doris in 1952 in Fort Frances, Ontario, Canada, following thier marriage they moved to International Falls, MN. until moving to St. Helens in 1967 until present.
He worked for Boise for 38 years as an Electrician, Union-IBEW, retiring in 1989.
Member of the First Lutheran Church, Elks Lodge, Elks Travel Club and on the Credit Union Board of Directors. Early on he was involved Boy Scouts as a cub & scout master. He enjoyed playing pool and fishing.
Survivors include: Wife-Doris Calder of St. Helens; Sons: Bruce Calder of San Miguel De Allende, Mexico; Jim Calder of West Linn, OR.; Sister: Marion Moore of Scarborough, Ontario, Canada.; 3 granddaughters: Brittany, Danielle, Alexa.
Celebration of Life: Monday, October 24, 2005 at 2:00 PM at Columbia Funeral Home
Private family interment: Willamette National Cemetery-Portland, OR.
