Lenna Adelle Esch's Obituary
On May 26th in St. Helens, Oregon, Lenna Adelle Esch passed from this life to eternal peace. She was 94 years of age. Lenna was born March 7, 1918 in Oakes, North Dakota to LaDelle Hartley and Lulu May Wilson Briggle, the elder of three children. Raised in North Dakota she graduated from Hazelton High School.
On June 22, 1941 she married Jacob Esch and ten years later the family moved to Portland where for many years she was a secretary for a local stock broker firm. Lenna was a member and church treasurer for Vancouver Avenue Methodist Church, also active with the Fireside Group. She later attended the United Methodist Church on 40th and Sumner.
Lenna enjoyed caring for her flower garden, bird watching and crocheting afghans for family and friends.
Lenna is survived by her Sons; Robert Esch of Portland, James Esch of Portland and Timothy Esch of Summerville, South Carolina, Grandchildren; Kandace Eagle, Barbi Robinson, Stephanie Patterson, Jacob Esch and Danielle Esch, Great Grandchildren; Krystina Faulk, Lara Huffsmith and Jenna Huffsmith, Great-Great Granddaughter Dakota Drake, Brother: LeLand Briggle of Silver Springs, Maryland.
Private burial at Willamette National Cemetery.
