Leona Mae Jones' Obituary
Leona Mae Jones was born on October 16, 1922 in Taft, CA. to Clyde & Juanita DodsonCoovert.
She died at a St. Helens Care Center on April 16, 2005 at the age of 82.
She came to Columbia City at the age of 3, she was educated in Columbia City and also met her husband Fredrick, they were married for 65 years.
He preceded her in death in 2004.
She worked at the broom factory with her husband and her last job was a CNA, retiring in 1985.
Her enjoyments included country western music, fedding the segulls at the coast, flowers and her animals.
Survivors include: Children: Peggy Hamilton, Fredrick L. Jones, Jr. both of Scappoose; Curtis Jones of Klamath Falls, OR.; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
