Leonard L. Martin's Obituary
Leonard L. Martin was born on August 17, 1926 in St. Helens, Oregon to Elvis & Stells Evans Martin.
He died on July 28, 2007 in St. Helens at the age of 80.
Most of his life he lived in Scappoose/St. Helens area and went to Scappoose High School. He was proud to have served in the Navy during WWII. After leaving the Navy he carried on family tradition as a commercial fisherman on the Columbia River. Later he was a building contractor, then on to Multnomah Plywood where he retired in 1988.
In 1949 he married June Mead. He loved building furniture and homes, and later in life back to the rivers he loved for sport fishing.
Survivors include: Wife June of Warren; Son: Wayne of St. Helens; Daughter: Julie Williams of Tigard; grandchildren; Jeremy Martin, Jenelle Harrison, Bryce Williams, Derek Williams and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Bradley.
