LeRoy Joe Ewing's Obituary
LeRoy Joe Ewing was born February 10, 1928 to Roy and Marie Garoutt Ewing. LeRoy was born in Cottage Grove, Oregon where he spent all of his youth through high school.
At age 18 he joined the Navy, and earned highest rank of Fireman First Class.
He married his sweetheart, Ruth, on Septemer 31, 1948 in Eugene. She preceded him death in 1982.
During his working years, LeRoy was a truck driver. The family moved frequently, but primarily lived in San Jose, California and Oregon. LeRoy finally settled in the St. Helens area about 12 years ago, and has spent the last five years living with his son, Dennis.
LeRoy will be missed by many good friends that he has met over the past few years. Seldom did he miss a breakfast or lunch at one of the local restraunts in St. Helens.
He is survived by a son, Dennis from St. Helens; 3 grandchildren; and 2 brothers: Donald in Southern California, and Fay from Eugene.
Private interment will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
