LeRoy Luker Bateman's Obituary
LeRoy L. Bateman was born on July 5, 1918 in Utah to Arthur & Amelia Luker Bateman.
He died at a care facility in Gresham, Oregon on June 21, 2008 at the age of 89.
He moved to Portland with his family as a child. He attended Benson Polytechnic School in Portland. He joined the merchant marines at age 19 and retired at age 65.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He loved music and had a beautiful singing voice.
Survivors include: Sister: Ada Bolin of Scappoose; Orrie Bateman of Medford; Richard Bateman of Portland; numerous nieces & nephews.
Private interment: Koble Cemetery-Goble, Oregon
