Leslie - Ashley's Obituary
Leslie Ashley was born on February 5, 1928 in Hale TX. to Ernest & Minnie Moonyham Ashley.
He died at a St. Helens Care center on May 6, 2004 at the age of 76.
He was educated in Texas moved to Scappoose at age 15 and attended Scappoose Hi.
He was in the Army from 1950- 1956 as a Corporal.
He was a Hyster driver for Owens Corning, retiring in '84.
He married Mildred in Vancouver, WA. in 1952.
Early on he was a member of the Baptist denomination. He enjoyed woodworking and hand-related work, but his family came first.
Survived by: Wife: Mildred Ashley of Scappoose; Sons: Jimmie & Larry of St. Helens; Allen & Kenneth of Scappoose; Siblings: Irvin Ashley of Scappoose, Travis Ashley of Lewiston, ID; Nelda Reeves of Idaho; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
