Lloyd B. Zatterberg

Mr. Lloyd Zatterberg of St. Helens died March 29, 2008 at the age of 89.
Mr. Zatterberg was born August 30, 1918, in Yankton, Oregon, the youngest of 4 sons born to Swedish immigrants. He grew up in Columbia City and later moved to St. Helens, where he worked at the lumber mill.
Mr. Zatterberg was a veteran of World War II, including 9 months on the front lines.
Lloyd met and married his wife Anna-Lisa, from Leksand, Sweden, in 1979. She brought two daughters and grandchildren into the marriage. The Zatterbergs made numerous trips back and forth to Sweden. Anna-Lisa passed away in 1994, but Lloyd continued to keep close contact with his Swedish family.
Mr. Zatterberg was a member of the Columbia River Foursquare Church where he had attended church since childhood.
He loved the Lord with all his heart. He enjoyed visiting with friends and family.
Noomi Tainter and her family in St. Helens, Oregon, Miriam Jedenfalk-Axelsson and her family in Linkoping, Sweden, and his nephew Mark Zatterberg of Canby, Oregon, along with his caregivers and friends will sorely miss Lloyd Zatterberg.
A memorial service will be held at Columbia River Foursquare Church in Columbia City, Oregon on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 2:00pm.
