Lloyd Wintermute's Obituary
Lloyd was born in Sheridan, Wyoming on February 22, 1932. He died in Portland, Oregon on August 19, 2004. He was 72 years old.
He moved to St. Helens from Oroville, California in 1966.
He joined the AirForce at age 17 and served for 4 years.
He started at the Kendrick Ranch in Wyoming for 2 years at age 15.
Worked for ironworkers for 35 years, local #29 Retiring in 1991. He helped build the Fremont Bridge, US Bancorp building and numerous other buildings & bridges in the Portland area.
Lived in Deer Island for the last 22 years. His family was extremenly important to him, he loved reading Louis L'Amour & other westerns never to be forgotten.
Survivors include: Daughter: Anna Sorber, Son: Mike Lewis; Brother: Earl Wintermute: Sister: Lois Hall; 3 grandchildren; numerous nieces & Nephews.
Graveside Service: Monday 8/23/04 at 3:00 PM at Kinder Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Hopewel house Hospice.
