Lois A. Wright's Obituary
Lois A. Wright was born on February 2, 1917 in Tripp County, South Dakota to Earl & Nellie Kreps Darnall.
She died at a St. Helens assisted living center on January 29, 2008 at the age of 90.
Lois attended schools in South Dakota and Business College in Rapid City, South Dakota. She met and married Joseph Wright there on November 4, 1936. He preceded her in death in 1994.
They moved to St. Helens from South Dakota in 1942 and have lived here since.
She was a homemaker and bookkeeper for Joe Wright Excavating Co. She was a very active member of First Christian Church. She was also the bookkeeper there, taught Sunday school, she was chairman of the board and the first lady elder of the church.
Lois enjoyed traveling, rock collecting and her grandchildren.
Survivors include: 4 sons: Gerald, Joseph & Dale Wright all of St. Helens; William Wright of Oregon City, OR.; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
Memorial service: First Christian Church on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at 3:30 PM
Private interment: Yankton Hillcrest Cemetery
