Lois J. Ryder's Obituary
Lois J. Ryder was born on January 18, 1931 in Rensselaer, Indiana to Lyle & Louise Clausen Handley.
She died at a Longview, Washington hospital on December 28, 2011 at the age of 80.
Lois moved to Oregon at the age of two, met and married Freeman Ryder on August 27, 1950 at Pacific Union College, CA. She attended college in California and received her Bachelors Degree in Business from Marylhurst College in Portland.
They lived in Vancouver, WA. For 37 years prior to moving to Columbia Co. 27 years ago. In her working career she worked as a telephone operator, bookkeeper, banking from a teller up to managing loan officer thru all the different phases of ownership which is currently known as Wells Fargo Bank. She and Freeman owned and operated the R.V. Park/Store/Marina at Goble Landing.
She was baptized in the 7th Day Adventist Church. She enjoyed Needlepoint, Embroidery, Knitting all of which she made for many gifts over the years. She was very occupied with the RV Store but was still able to be a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include: Sons: Steven & Raymond Ryder both of Rainier; Sisters: Sylvia Peterson of Beaverton, OR.; Phyllis Hensley of El Paso, TX.; 3 Grandchildren, 6 Great-Grandchildren.

Committal Service & Vault Interment: Columbia Memorial Gardens-Scappoose.
