Lorraine Esther Cushing

Lorraine Cushing of Scappoose, Oregon died on October 30, 2016 at the age of 84. She was born on November 20, 1931 to S.E. and Agnes (Francisco) Wright in Hoquiam, Washington.
Lorraine grew up and attended school in Washington and was married to James Cushing in 1965 before they relocated to St. Helens, Oregon in 1969. Lorraine was a homemaker most of her life but she also helped James with the family business Vee Lee Amusement Company.
In 1991 Lorraine and James moved to Scappoose, James died shortly after. Lorraine became very active in the Scappoose Senior Center and was a Scappoose First Citizen in 2005.
She is survived by her 2 sons Robert Heck of Scappoose and Tony Cushing of Gresham. 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband James Cushing.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Scappoose Senior Center at a later date. In lieu of flowers make all donations payable to Scappoose Senior Center.
