LoVorn F. Walker's Obituary
LoVorn French Walker was born in Fleetwood, Oklahoma to Dr. James A. and Winifred E. Walker, November 14, 1908, the middle of three sons. He graduated from Central State College at Edmund Oklahoma, in 1933, with degrees in Engineering and Education.
While working at Boeing in Wichita Kansas, he met and married Betty J. Oldham on October 9, 1954. They and their four daughters moved to Everett, WA in 1968, then to Warren, OR in 1972.
Over his long working life, he was a firefighter, sign painter, and artist. He built racing sail boats, furniture and cabinets, designed aircraft for Beech and Boeing. He taught industrial arts in El Reno, OK in the 30's and St. Helens, OR in the 70's. He last worked as a greeter for Walmart, retiring at the age of 97.
His greatest joy was his family. We are all grateful he was able to remain at home, surrounded by our love.
LoVorn was preceded in death by his brothers, J.A. and Orville, and an infant daughter.
He leaves behind his wife, Betty; his son, L. Craig; his daughters, Catherine, Barbara, Betty Kay, and Candy; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
