I came to know Lowell as his caregiver but considered him a good friend. He was always pleasant and fun to be with. We sometimes played checkers and other games together which he was good at. Most of the time he won, and he was always gracious. We always had something to talk about. He was so caring and fun to be around. He enjoyed going outside with me to look at the birds even though he didn't know what they were we searched the trees to see where they landed. He liked to take his motor wheelchair for walks. We would sit together for breakfast and although I wasn't eating, he wanted to make sure that I had coffee. He was a kind host even though I was there to help him. I will always remember him as a kind, caring and loving man and fun to talk with. It was a privilege and gift to be able to know Lowell and I cherish the times we had together. Lowell had accepted Jesus' years ago, and I know that he is walking with the father and rejoicing the with friends and family. Although I will miss him on this earth, he is home with the father.
