Lucille Rowena Atkinson's Obituary
Lucille Rowena Atkinson was born on Debruary 14, 1928 in Leoti, Kansas to Cecil & Pauline Benning Tipton.
She died at her home in Scappoose on October 2, 2008 at the age of 80.
Lucille was educated in Leoti, Kansas and went to business college in Hutchison, Kansas.
She moved to Scappoose in 1967, living here until present.
Lucille worked as a bookkeeper for the Banfield Pet Clinic on 82nd Ave. in Portland for 15+ years, and Scappoose Tire for 15+ years.
Early on she attended 1st Congregational Church in Scappoose and was a member of the American Business Womens Association. She was a great seamstress and sewed many items for the family.
Survivors include: Former Husband: Harold Atkinson of Scappoose; Son: Ted Atkinson of St. Helens; Daughter: Nancy Acquin of Vancouver, WA.; 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
Celebration of Life: Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Grace & Peace Fellowship Church-Scappoose.
Private interment: Leoti Cemetery-Leoti, Kansas.
