Lura A. Freeman was born on March 3, 1916 in Portland, OR. to Thadeus & Lula Reed Glass.
She died at a Scappoose Care Center on August 13, 2004 at the age of 88.
She was educated in the area, 2 years of business college, 1 year at Portland University. She was in the Army in 1943.
Past member of American Federation of Business Women; Officer of Emblem Club-Ladies of the Elks; Charter member of the League of women voters; member of the Scappoose Historical Society; member of the Friends of the Library-Scappoose; volunteered to teach music to seniors; taught organ most of her adult life.
Preceded in death by a son: Derald M. Lawrence in 1958.
