Luther Thomas "LT" Gray's Obituary
Luther passed away in his sleep on February 8, 2021 at his home in Deer Island, Oregon.
Luther was born and raised in Conway, Arkansas. He enlisted in the Navy and was stationed in Astoria, Oregon where Luther met and married Yvonne Marie Hickel. They lived in many places throughout the US while adding 6 children to their family. After settling down in Clatskanie, Oregon, Luther retired from a 20 year military life and worked at Reynold Aluminum for another 20 years. After the death of his wife Yvonne, Luther met and married Martha DeRosa and relocated to Deer Island, Oregon.
Luther attended the Yankton Community Fellowship Church where he baptized into the family of God.
Luther is survived by Martha DeRosa-Gray and his six children: Gaylon, Daniel, Saundra (Sterling), Marcus, Teresa (Wyatt), and Paul; and also Martha’s children: Rick, Susan, Debbie, and Marti; and also 26 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Luther was preceded by Yvonne M Gray, his parents Olen and Maudie Gray Of Conway, Arkansas; and his siblings: Louis and Harold of Conway, Arkansas, and LeeAudry Gill of Norman, Oklahoma.
Luther was cremated and laid to rest next to his late wife Yvonne in the LaPine Community Cemetery in LaPine, Oregon.
