Lyle K. Ray's Obituary
Lyle K. Ray was born in Ash Lake, MN. on April 20, 1921 to Paul & Vine Luing Ray.
He died at his home in St. Helens, OR. on January 12, 2004 at the age of 82.
He was educated in Ash Lake, MN. and moved to Orange, CA. in '53. Moved to Oregon in Delena/Mayger area until 1997 when he became a widow. He then moved to St. Helens until present.
He was a medic in the Army in WWII.
He was married to Gertrude Duinkerken in Worthington, MN. on 2/25/39.
While living in CA. he was a truck driver and when first moving to Oregon he drove school bus.
He retired from International Wood Workers Union Weyerhauser on 8/17/83.
His enjoyments included family, fishing, hunting, cutting firewood.
Survivors include: Children: Bryant Ray of St. Helens, James Ray of Kelso, WA., Lyle BillW. Ray of Orange, CA. Gladys LaRue of Santa Anna, CA., Sharon Jordan of Hemet, CA., Toni Terrell of Coeur d' Alene, ID.; Siblings: Pauline Alwine of Longview, WA., Faneyne Ritterodt of Salem, OR., James Ray of Rainier, OR., Don Ray of Colorado Springs, CO., Elbie Ray of Portland, OR.; 24 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents, wife, brother and a grandson.

Private interment: Hudson Cemetery-Rainier, OR.
