Mabel Moore's Obituary
Mabel Moore of St. Helens lost her battle with cancer June 5, 2010, at home with her husband of 60 years, Dudley, by her side. She was 78.
Mabel Rowland was born July 18, 1931, in Whitehouse, Ky., to John and Ollie Rowland, one of five children.
On Aug. 9, 1949, she married Dudley M. Moore in Pikeville, Ky. The couple moved to St. Helens in November of that same year with her family.
Employed at Crown Zellerbach and later the bag factory, she retired to start a family.
Among the things she enjoyed were tending to her flower beds with the hundreds of beautiful flowers she planted every year, and shopping.
Most of all she loved caring for her family.
In the 1990s she faced her first battle with cancer and defeated it.
Loved by many, she will be dearly missed by all.
She is survived by her sons, David J. Moore of St. Helens, and Mark Moore of Astoria; grandchildren, Adam and Theresa Milner, Matthew Moore, MaryAnn Hagerman, Savannah Woolum, Jermey Moore, Jesse Moore, and Justin Moore; and great-grandchildren, Trinity Susann Milner, Miya Emma-Lee Milner, Riley Elizabeth Milner, Adam Dudley-Duey Milner, Makayla Rae, and Mackinze Rose.
No services will be held.
