Margeurite F. McGivern's Obituary
Margeurite F. McGivern was born on February 28, 1919 in Pierre, S. Dakota to John & Lula Worden Westover.
She died at a St. Helens care center on July 1, 2006 at the age of 87.
She attended grade school in Scappoose and Hi school in Portland. She lived here all of her life.
She married Charlie Taylor in 1940, they divorced and she married Herman McGivern on October 15, 1951 in Vancouver, WA., he preceded her in death on June 15, 1963.
She was a seamstress for White Stag Co., also worked for a nut & bolt company.
Her religious denomination was Baptist. She was the longest member of the Women of the Moose Lodge-60 years. She enjoyed baking and for a time sold Tupperware.
Survivors include: Children: Patty James; Melvin Taylor both of St. Helens; Charles Taylor of Lake Oswego, OR.; Linda Couser of Phoenix, AZ.; a daughter Gail preceded her in death at 4 1/2 months; 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren.
Celebration of Life: Sunday, July 8, 2006 at 4:00 PM at Sunset Park Community Church.
Private interment: Columbia Memorial Gardens Cemetery-Scappoose, OR.
