Marie I. Ricker's Obituary
Marie I. Ricker passed away at her home surrounded by her family on October 18, 2011 in St. Helens, Oregon. Marie was 81 years old.
Marie was born May 15, 1930 in Grafton, North Dakota to Justin and Marie Nelson Colsen. She was educated and graduated from Grafton in 1949. She later moved to Oregon in 1951. On December 5, 1953 she married George Ricker in Stevenson, Washington.
Marie enjoyed baking, sewing, caring for and giving homemade gifts away to her neighbors and family. She really enjoyed baking pies and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by daughters, Roxanne Lavern Anderson of St. Helens, Oregon and Ranae Jeff Kotka of Scappoose, Oregon; and son Shane Shellie Ricker. Brother Norman Adiline Colsen of Grafton, North Dakota; and two sisters, Marjo Sparrow of Pinole, California and Carol Kirsch of Grafton, North Dakota , along with five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Justin and Marie Nelson Colsen, two brothers, and two sisters.
Celebration of Life: The Christian Church of St. Helens at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 29, 2011.
