Marion L. Anderson's Obituary
Marion Lula Anderson was born on March 2, 1925 in Portland, Oregon to John & Madeleine Mills Miller.
She died at Columbia Care Center in Scappoose, Oregon on August 3, 2011 at the age of 86.
Marion attended and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1942. She married Herbert Anderson on August 12, 1942 in Portland, Oregon at St. Andrews Episcopal Church.
They lived at the coast for a number of years moving back to Portland in the early 90's.
Her work career consisted of a bookkeeper for Napa Auto Parts, cook, she helped to open many Kentucky Fried Chicken stores in the area-knew the colonel and the Pacific County Courthouse.
Marion was raised in the Episcopal denomination and she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, making jewelry, cooking, baking and playing cards pinochle
Survivors include: Children: David Anderson of Warren, OR.; Judith Musgrove of Anchorage, Alaska; Carolyn Rictor of Gresham, OR.; Billie Burger of Scappoose, OR.; 16 grandchildren; 28 great- grandchildren; 1great-great grandson.
Celebration of Life: August 20, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Warren Community Fellowship Church.
