Mark "Tiny" Tews
November 9, 1956 ~ August 11, 2009
Mark Charles Tews, a native Oregonian, died of natural causes at this home in Scappoose. He was educated at Bonny Slope and Roosevelt High Schools. Known as "Tiny" to many friends Mark spent his lifetime in the Portland area. He was employed at Georgia Pacific in paper product production work.
His father Marvin Dale Tews and his daughter Dawna Tews predeceased Mark.
He is survived by his mother, Marian J. Tews; children Mark Tews II and Alisha Jarvis; sisters Marianne Brown and Marby Pennington; and significant other Delia Caranguian. Surviving grandchildren are Hannah and Aurora Tews, Ayden and Ashtyn Jarvis, Rachel Ojeda, Kaylie Zimmers, Natasha Pasco, Aunesty Reyes, and one great-granddaughter Vivianne Ojeda.
Mark was well known by a diverse community of friends in the Portland area. His legacy lives on in the lives of his offspring, family members, and his support of the local schools where he volunteered supplies and services over the years. Mark was an expert at plan and delighted in supporting children in all their endeavors. Papa and Ayden playtime will truly be missed. He had already established savings accounts for all his grandchildren to support their college education.

Mark's life will be celebrated Saturday morning at 11:00 AM, August 29, 2009 at the Columbia Funeral Home, 681 Columbia Blvd. St. Helens, Oregon 97051.
A potluck lunch will follow the service celebrating the legacy of Mark Tews.
