Mark I. Olsen's Obituary
Mark I. Olsen, born August 27, 1964, to Odd and Louise Olsen in Portland, Oregon. Mark joined older siblings Sharon, Betty, Esther, and Bobby.
Mark spent his first 35 years in the Clackamas area, most of it in the family home on Juniper where Mark made lifelong friends Jeff Braxmeyer and Sean Melcher. Mark also met his childhood sweetheart Patricia Bailey while attending Clackamas High School. Mark and Patty eventually married and had 3 daughters Jayme, Tara, and Trisha before divorcing in 1994.
Mark started his working career at Multnomah Plywood where his father was a long-time shareholder. Mark left the mill after getting a job with Oregon Transfer Company in May of 1990, working his way up from forklift operator to warehouse manager. While at Oregon Transfer Mark met and married his wife Rana on April 29, 2000. Mark found his home at Oregon Transfer staying until the company closed its doors in 2020.
Mark officially retired in 2022. In retirement he discovered a new passion for gardening and raising his chickens. Mark loved all things outdoors; he was a lifelong bike rider and fisherman. He loved Skiing, hiking, and camping. He loved doing these things with grandchildren whenever possible.
Mark is survived by his wife Rana, his daughters, Jayme (Brian) Mobley, Tara Olsen, and Trisha Shankels, his stepchildren Katie (Edison) Vance, and Travis (Bailey) Feakin. Grandchildren Madison, Brayden, Kenzi, Makayla, Savana, Alex, Evencio, Anthony, Mason, Bailey, and Grace. His brother Robert Finden, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents Odd & Louise Olsen, sisters Sharon, Betty, and Esther.
