Marla Lynn O'Neal, 51, of Vancouver, Washington, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2024, at 7 PM at the Ray Hickey Hospice House. Born on July 4, 1973, in Vallejo, California, Marla lived a vibrant life across various states, including Florida, Texas, South Carolina, and Oregon, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she met.
Marla's career was as diverse as her life experiences. She found joy in roles that aligned with her passions, working with Greenpeace, in the music industry, at a law firm, and most recently as an office manager in Oregon. Her dedication to making a positive change in the world was evident in every endeavor she pursued.
A true lover of the ocean, Marla was inspired by her favorite author, Jacques Cousteau, and harbored a deep affection for all animals, big and small. Her beloved French bulldog, Blu, was her loyal co-pilot on countless car rides, embodying the joy and companionship she cherished.
An ardent fan of Star Wars and Marvel, Marla's collection of memorabilia was a testament to her passion. Music was the soundtrack of her life; she delighted in discovering new artists and attending concerts, celebrating the myriad of genres that inspired her.
Marla is survived by her mother, Linda Graham; father, James Plunkett; sister, Amanda Alexander; nephews Tyler Alexander and Mathew Benza; partner Nicola Bintz; stepson Evan Bintz; and stepdaughter Layne Bintz. She was predeceased by her beloved brother, Mathew Plunkett.
Marla's spirit will live on in the hearts of her friends and family from coast to coast. She will be deeply missed for her kindness, enthusiasm, and the unwavering love she shared with those around her. In lieu of a funeral, the family will hold a celebration of life at Cannon Beach, where Marla's ashes will be scattered, honoring her final wish.
