Marlene Mae Truedson's Obituary
Marlene Mae Truedson was born on September 30, 1936 in Great Bend, Kansas to August Sr. & Nova Baker Yarmer.
She passed away in a Portland hospital on June 9, 2007 at the age of 70.
She married Donald "Swede" Truedson on November 10, 1973.
She was a member of the Sweet Adelines and an active member of St. Frederic Catholic Church. She was a 4H Leader and a Little League Coach. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, cake decorating, sewing and playing with her grandkids. She was a loving mother and grandmother admired by all that knew her.
Survivors include: Husband: Donald "Swede" Truedson of Columbia City; Children: Lonnie Hawkins of St. Helens; Michael Hawkins, Sr. Melissaof Denver, CO.; Sherril Cordell Jim of Scappoose; Carla Gensman of St. Helens; Sister: Darlene Kegg Jack of Columbia City, OR.; Grandchildren: Michael Hawkins, Jr.; Chelsea & Trevor Hawkins; Katie & Scott Cordell; Kaen, Kayleen Abraham; Nieces & Nephews: Coleen & Shelly Miller; Ronnie & David Yarmer; Rob Hamilton; Debra Hamilton Sharron; Many great nieces & nephews.
Viewing & Visitation: 9-5 Thursday 6/14 & Friday 6/15 & Monday 6/18 at Columbia Funeral Home.
Recitation of the Rosary at 10:00 AM, Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM both on Tuesday, 6/19/07 at St. Frederic Catholic Church.
Committal Service & Vault interment: Columbia Memorial Gardens-Scappoose, Oregon.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association or to a charity of ones choice.
