Marlin J. Miles' Obituary
Marlin J. Miles was born on July 8, 1921 in Beecher Isle, Colorado to James & Mable Conner Miles.
He died at a hospice facility in Longview, WA. on February 9, 2007 at the age of 85.
He attended and graduated from Hagler Hi School in 1939 in Hagler, Nebraska.
He was in WWII in the Air Force-1/23/42-11/7/45. On 4/21/1946 in Montrose, CO. he married Marybelle Roberts. He moved to the Portland area in 1946 and to Warren, OR. in 1971 until present.
He was a self-employed real estate developer.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge and a past Grand Exalted Ruler in 1965.
He was an avid fisherman was in Alaska in August 2006 fishing for Salmon. He enjoyed hunting R.V.ing, yardwork and round dancing, 2 times a week until a month ago.
Survivors include: Dear Companion: Ruth Dyer of Warren; Daughters: Jane Miles of Homer, Alaska; Joan Wyatt of Flagstaff, Arizona; Brothers: Dale of Shoshone, Idaho; Nelson of Fairbanks, Alaska; Melvin of Albuquerque, N. Mexico; Marvin of Salisbury, N.C.; 4 grandchildren.
Preceded in death by 2 brothers: Dwight, Stanley.
Graveside service & interment: Willamette National Cemetery-Portland; Monday, 2/12/07 at 2:00 PM
