Marshall Keith Miller, DMD's Obituary

Marshall passed away surrounded by family at his home on June 25th, 2010.
Born on May 4th, 1935 in Portland, Oregon to Hermon Norma & Viola E Cooper Miller, he was the eldest of two sons. In his youth, he was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and went on to receive the Certification of Eagle Scout. Throughout his life, he would continue his support of his old Boy Scout troup.
Marshall graduated from Grant High School in 1953, received his Bachelor of Science from OSU in 1957 and DMD from Oregon University School of Dentistry now OHSU in 1961.
He then moved to St. Helens in 1960 where he practiced dentistry for over 30 years. Active in his local community, Marshall was a member of B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge of St. Helens, The Rotary Club, Past President of the Columbia County Dental Association and Past Director of the Oregon Dental Society Board.
An avid OSU alumnus and member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity, Marshall loved boating, snow skiing, wood working and playing the piano.
In 1993 he met the love of his life, Dace Drougas. They shared a love of adventure and traveled around the world, including the Panama Canal, the Mediterranean Islands and many trips to Alaska and Hawaii.
Marshall is survived by his companion and love, Dace Drougas; daughters Theresa Holt, Sheryl Taylor and Laurie Miller; grandchildren Brittney Smith, Kelsey Smith, Chelsea Taylor, Wyatt Taylor, Ryann Drougas and extended family; Elizabeth and Brian Kirk, David and Tami Drougas and Andrea Drougas.
