Martin J. Lugar's Obituary
Martin J. Lugar was born on December 22, 1922 at Salt Lake City, UT. to Louis & Jennie Tecause Lugar.
He died at a care facility in Forest Grove, OR. on May 20, 2006 at the age of 83.
His family moved to the West coast at age 1 1/2, he has lived in Oregon & Washington all of his life. He married Irene Brewington on August 14, 1943.
He was in the Marines from 1942-1945. He worked for Monte's Manufacturing Co. prior to going into the Marines, he worked at Shell Chemical Co. for 20 years, Penn Walt, then to Multnomah Plywood, retiring in 1984.
Survivors include: Wife: Irene Lugar; Sons: Ron, Jay, Kelly Lugar; Daughters; Carol Murphy, Rhonda Fleener; Brothers: Bill & Ed Lugar; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
Viewing & Visitation: 9-5 Thursday
Graveside service & interment: Willamette National Cemetery-Portland; Friday May 26, 2006 at 12:30 PM.
