Martin P. Davis' Obituary
Martin P. Davis was born on December 4, 1931 in London, England to Phillip & Edith Owen Davis.
He died on Tanner Butte, hiking and doing what he loved on August 7, 2006 at the age of 74.
He had 2 bachelor degrees and was educated at Cambridge University in Engineering, Edenborough University in Landscape Architecture. He chose another career rehabing Victorian homes in NW Portland because he didn't want to be in an office. A "Renessance Man"
He moved to Portland in 1960 and to Scappoose in 1995. He married Janna Kinkade on August 30, 1997 at the Scappoose Home on Dixie Mountain.
He was an environmentalist who loved the forest, a political activist who loved hiking, biking and the out-of-doors.
Survivors include: Wife Janna Kinkade of Scappoose; Sons: Steven Davis of Orcus Island, WA.; Eric Foren of St. Helens; Daughter: Kim Foren of Portland; Sister: Susannna Peters of Vancouver, BC; Niece & Nephew: Flabia & Phillip Corsano of Amelia, Italy; 2 grandchildren; faithful companion-Rosa Dog.
Memorial service: Friday, August 11, 2006 at 4:00 PM at Family Home 25266 NW Dixie Mountain Rd. Scappoose, OR.
