Mary Alice Strohman-Brousseau's Obituary
Mary Alice Strohman-Brousseau was born on May 30, 1916 in Minneapolis, MN.
She died on March 26, 2006 in St. Helens, OR. at the age of 89.
She was Mary Al to her friends. moved to the Pacific Northwest from Minnesota with her husband Henry, and her two boys, Tom and Bill "a long time ago" in her words. They settled in Vancouver, WA. where Hank worked as a longshoreman and Mary Al worked at Jantzen as a supervisor. The boys grown, Hank & Mary Al moved to a farm in Ridgefield for a number of years. After retirment, they moved to a small house in downtown Ridgefield, eventually moving from there to the Washington coast. They built thier dream house in Nahcotta, overlooking Willapa Bay. Hank passed away in the early 1990's. A few years later Mary Al met and married Norman Brousseau, a retired firefighter. Norm passed away a couple of years later.
In addition to her two boys, she has three grandchildren; Scott, Lisa and Tara, as well as one great-grandchild, Rayn. Mary Al has always been very generous with her time and quite active in the community.
She has served as president of the Ocean Park Eagles Lodge as well as being very involved in the Ocean Park Moose Lodge.
