Mary E. Overstreet
Mary E. Overstreet, 90, was born October 16, 1918 east of Gresham, Oregon to George and Sarah Harrison. She went to be with the Lord on January 9, 2009. The important things in life to Mary were faith in the Lord, her family and her friends. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, and entertaining.
Mary graduated from Gresham Union High and Northwest Business College. She was employed as a secretary/bookkeeper for an insurance adjuster in Portland and later for a CPA in St. Helens.
She married B.W. "Curly" Overstreet in 1941.
Preceding her in death were her husband Curly, brother Edward Harrison, sister Catherine Robertson, daughter Shirley Overstreet, and grandson James Overstreet.
She is survived by son Bernie and his wife Pat, granddaughter Leah Williams and her husband Scott, grandchildren Sean and Victoria Williams, sister Dorothy Akin, brother William Harrison and his wife Addie, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary was a charter member of Warren Community Fellowship. Remembrances can be made to her church or to Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
A memorial service will be held at Warren Community Fellowship on Saturday January 24, 2009 at 11:00 am.
