Mary Jo Carr's Obituary
Celebration of Life Service will be held, 11am, Saturday, June 9th at the Christian Church of St. Helens, 185 South 12th Street.
Mary passed away at her home in St. Helens with her son at her side on May 30th, she was 66 years old.
Mary Jo was born at Page, Oklahoma on November 2, 1945 to Jimmy William and Hattie Mae Lehman Heavener, and the second eldest of five children.
Raised in the Page, Howe, and Heavener area she attended Heavener High School. Later she worked as a seamstress for several years in Poteau, Oklahoma. In 1982 she moved from there to St. Helens where she has resided since. She attended the Christian Church of St. Helens and enjoyed reading and her pets.
Mary is survived by her children; Bobby Lee Jones, Jimmy Don Mattox and Carla Jo Matlock, five grandchildren, siblings; Wanda Bullock and Ellen Blackledge. Preceded in death by siblings; Patsy Mae Heavener and Jimmy Will Heavener.
