Mary "Cathy" Catherine Miller's Obituary
Mary Catherine Miller “Cathy” of Saint Helens, Oregon passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 15, 2018 at the age of 64. Cathy was born in Longview, Washington on April 21, 1954 to James Thomas McElhaney and Trudy Wauneta “Larson” Oberholtzer. Cathy graduated from Scappoose High School and then pursed a cosmetology degree. Cathy started her career in 1973 and has owned various salons over the past 45 years. Until the time of her death she was the owner/operator of Scandalous Hair Design in Saint Helens, Oregon.
Cathy’s most enjoyable times were spent with her family, her interests included watching her grandkids sporting events, reading and she loved weekend trips to the beach.
Cathy is survived by her mother Trudy, Brother Todd, Sister Keri, husband Dan and her three daughters Amy, Stacey, Keri and her niece Brieanna whom she raised as her own. Cathy also has 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her father James McElhaney and Grandparents.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, October 19, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Scappoose Four Square Church. In lieu of flowers please send donations to OHSU Knight Cancer Center.
