Maxine L. Akers' Obituary
Maxine L. Akers was born on October 7, 1918 in Villisca, Iowa to Charlie & Dora Andersen Stevenson.
She died at a Portland hospital on February 9, 2005 at the age of 86.
She was educated and graduated in 1936 in Iowa, married to Oscar in Marysville, Missouri on June 5, 1937. He preceded her in death in 1991.
They moved to Vernonia in 1952, then to Warren in 1964 and St. Helens for the past 1 1/2 years.
She was a protestant and a homemaker who enjoyed her family, crotcheting and flowers.
Survived by: Sons: Larry of Warren, David & Norman both of St. Helens; Daughters: Sharon Johnson of Cathlamet, WA.; Rose Burch of Warren, OR.; preceded in death by daughter Irene Bowery in 2004. Siblings: Claud Stevenson of Arkansas; Shirley Hayes of Council Bluffs, Iowa; 19 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service: Monday Feb. 14, 2004 at 11:00 AM both at Columbia Funeral Home-St. Helens, OR.
Private interment: Columbia Memorial Gardens Cemetery-Scappoose, OR.
