Melva Jean Eldridge passed away peacefully in a Portland hospital Saturday May 7, 2011 at the age of 78. Melva Miles was born on July 18, 1932 in The Dalles Oregon to Ted and Elva Brumley Miles, she was the eldest of six siblings Read Obituary
I was fortunate enough at one time to have had the opportunity to know Mrs. Eldridge. She was a womyn of great kindness and a good heart. I remember her most by her smiles and I know she was quite the little spit fire if needed to be too. She was a wonderful mom to her kids. My prayers to the family and I am so sorry for your loss Doug.

I only knew Melva through lunches at the Senior Center. She was always pleasant and cheerful. Will miss her. Prayers to her family.

Melva was very special to Theresa Marson who passed away last month. Melva was always one I talked with when working as a volunteer at the Senior Center. She had a kind word for everyone. When Theresa was no longer able to go to the Senior Center and visit with Melva, Melva came often to see her at Spring Meadows. She was a lovely soul.
