Mervin K. Arnold's Obituary
Mervin K. Arnold was born on May 4, 1936 in Buffalo, NY to A.M. & Clara Fisher Arnold.
He died at his home in Scappoose, OR. on March 1, 2004 at the age of 67.
He finished his schooling with correspondence courses. He was a mechanic, truck driver 1st in Oregon to be licensed to pull triples, an inventor, and his last occupation was a carpenter.
He was a Korean War Veteran.
He moved to Scappoose & married Nellie on 8/4/72 in St. Helens, OR.
He attended Grace & Peace Fellowship Church.
Member of the Painters & Teamsters Union. Citizens in Action for 20 years he was the voice for the oppressed and againist corruption. He never met a stranger. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman-The ''Bassman''. He was a good husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include: Wife: Nellie Arnold; Children: Sheryl Fitzwilliams, Scott Flinn all of Scappoose, OR. Siblings Arthur & Maitland Arnold both of NY and Pat Keenan & Cay Palmer both of FL.
4 grandchildren.
Memorial service: Monday 3/8/04 at 12:00 Noon at the St. Helens Moose Lodge.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Channel 9 Cable Station.
