Monica Stanton's Obituary
Monica Stanton was born on October 5, 1943 in Vancouver, British Columbia to Fred and Helen Viatkin Swetlikoe. She died, June 26, 2008 in Portland, Oregon at the age of 64.
She moved to the St. Helens area in 1980. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Monica's chosen career was helping others. She was a devoted CNA at Avamere in St. Helens, also at the Kelso/Longview Care Center, and for a short while at Columbia Care Center in Scappoose. After retiring in 2005, she made it her business to keep up on all the current events going on in the world.
Family was most important to Monica. She is survived by her children: son, Will Egyed and his wife, Cindy, of St. Helens; son, Brian Egyed and his wife, Candy, of St. Helens; and daughter, Candice Holsapple and her husband, Scott, of Seattle. Two sisters: Brenda Goller of Okay Falls, BC; Tish Little of Hawaii; and one brother, Jim Swetlikoe of Kamloops, BC.; 3 Grandchildren: Brian, Jr. and Brandon Egyed, and Anthony Rosen; and 2 Great Grandchildren: Jasper and Alexa.
A final happy moment just before Monica's death was seeing the ultra sound of her daughter's baby who will be grandchild #4.
Monica will be greatly missed; but her memory will live on forever in the hearts of her family.
