Myrland Boyd Austin was born on July 21, 1929 in Oregon City, OR. to Clifford & Clara Seydell Austin.
He died at a Portland hospital on November 1, 2006 at the age of 77.
He was educated in Oregon, went into the Navy from '45-'47.
Married to Lillian in Vancouver, WA. on 2/28/48. They lived in Scappoose for the past 29 years.
He was a self-employed Columbia river ship pilot from '75-'92.
He was a member of the St. Helens Elks Lodge and he enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Survivors include: Wife: Lillian Austin of Scappoose; Children: Candy Johnson of Warrenton, OR.; Linda Niece of St. Helens; Rick & Cliff Austin both of Columbia City, OR.; Sister: Janice St. Clair of Portland; 13 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren.
